Malaysia FM Repeater, FM Rebroadcast & Tunnel Radio Frequency(RF) System

Malaysia FM Radio Re-Broadcast Repeater System : SP-875108

These channelized FM Radio Repeaters may be used for providing coverage enhancement in no signal areas for FM broadcast transmissions. The SP875108 series consists of a multi-channel RF head-end and RF output power amplifiers that can provide transmission through antenna, catenary wire or radiating cable signal distribution systems.

OVERVIEW

The SP-875108 can be used as a FM radio (87.5-108 MHz) rebroadcast system for use in road and rail tunnels, mines, inside buildings, tunnel, underground car parks and other locations where the availability of existing FM broadcast radio coverage is limited.

This unit can be used as a single channel rebroadcast system, or multiple units can be combined together for multi-channel applications. The per-carrier RF output power of the system can be determined by choosing from our range of FM RF power amplifiers.

SINGLE CHANNEL APPLICATION

An FM off-air antenna is suitably located to receive donor signals from the FM transmitter that is to be rebroadcast. A simple collinear or dipole antenna, coupled with suitable lightning protection and coaxial cable grounding design principles is ideal for this purpose.

The coaxial cable feed cost effective solution for extending the coverage of existing FM broadcast radio stations into coverage black-spots including campus and office buildings, underground carparks, road and rail tunnels, and mines.

from the off-air antenna is connected to the SP875108 which is programmed for the desired rebroadcast frequency. The unit's (Status) command provides a convenient way of viewing the received off-air signal level, and can assist in the optimization

MULTI-CHANNEL APPLICATION

As in the single channel application, an FM off-air antenna is suitably located to receive donor signals from the FM transmitter that is to be rebroadcast. The coaxial cable feed from the off-air antenna is connected to a multi-output receiver splitter, providing separate off-air antenna signals for multiple SP875108 units. The model of receiver splitter is determined by the desired number of FM channels in the design including any provisions for future expansion capacity.

The RF outputs of the SP875108 units can be combined together to provide a single, multi-channel RF output. Either or both of SP875108's RF outputs can be combined to produce one or two multi-channel RF outputs, and these can be used to provide separate RF feeds for applications requiring this such as the northbound and southbound bores of a road tunnel.
